What is their mortality rate?
- Afghanistan has 19th deaths per 1,000 people.
-Infant death is 154 per 1,000.
-Pregnant women die of an average of 50 people a day.
-There is one doctor for every 50,000 people.
How are their hospitals?
- The hospitals in Afghanistan are very rare, and have 3064 hospitals in total.
- A doctor does not have his own clinic. Sometimes he has a small office space
What are the main diseases and illnesses Afghanistan has?
- Rabies (which is a disease that comes from animals)
-Food poisoning (Food is still raw)
-The common disease called Measles kills about 35,000 children a year, and the disease's symptoms are fever, red eyes, and cough.
-Bacterial disease transmitted by fleas normally associated with rats;
Afghanistan suffers from diseases because of there community, it spreads all around from child to child or person to person. Some of the people in Afghans get rabies, from the animals that harm.
*Thousands of children have been orphaned. Many others are from families that are struggling to survive. The organization Terre Des Hommes is an international organization dedicated to the welfare children, and they are a big help for families in need. So be thankful for what you have, and that you are healthy and safe because right now, the situation is Afghanistan is really hard for them.
