Kabul
Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan but, over time the capital of Afghanistan has changed to many different places. Much of Kabul still lies in rubble because of the past two decades of war in their country. Kabul is the largest city in Afghanistan and has about 2,536,300 citizens. Houses in older neighborhoods still have thick mud bricks for walls and roofs made of metal sheets. Kabul has been the capital of Afghanistan since 1776, its history shows that it has been around more than three thousand years. It has been raided, destroyed, and in the end rebuilt.The city was once known for its interesting architecture but, most of it is destroyed by the wars.
Kandahar
The next largest city besides Kabul is Kandahar which has 316,000 citizens living in it. Kandahar was founded in the fourth century B.C by Alexander The Great, but excavations in the place show that people lived near Kandahar for more than seven thousands years.
