Major Events in Afghanistan

September 11 2001
In September 11 2001 Afghans hijacked 4 U.S. airliners. They used 2 of the airliners and crashed them into the twin towers, 3rd into the pentagon, and the 4th crashed into a Pennsylvania field after the passengers took control. An hour later the U.S. military set foot on Afghanistan starting a war.
September 20, 2001
President Bush vowed an attack on Afghanistan. Bush demanded that Afghanistan and leaders turn Osama in , and his terrorists. He demanded to close all terrorist camps in the country, or they should expect an attack from the U.S. From that day any country aiding or helping terrorism would be an official enemy of the U.S.
October 7, 2001
Britain and USA start a bombing campaign in Afghanistan
U.S. and Britain start bombing campaign over Afghanistan. In the night the U.S. and Britain started to send air crafts to bomb terrorists. The U.S. and Britain planned to bomb and destroy the terrorist camps and training grounds. After the bombardment the Taliban leader, Mullah Muhammad Omar escaped being captured. U.S. had suspicions that Mullah, Bin Laden, and the terrorists were hiding in the caves in Eastern Afghanistan.
October 29, 2004
Days before Bush wins re-election, Bin Laden taunts Bush’s administration. Bin Laden also takes responsibility for the 9/11 attacks. He opens his message with a threat to the United States. He said “O American people, I am speaking to you about the ideal way to avoid another Manhattan. About War and its causes and results."

Operation Anaconda
Afghan and American troops engage in their first big battle. Troops move into the Shah-i-Kot Valley in Paktia Province to root out hold outs of the Taliban leader and Al Qaeda. Operation Anaconda was symbolically named after the snake that surrounds its prey.

Obama Bin Laden’s is still alive (SEAL trooper side)
Acording to former Navy SEAL Matt Bissonnette Bin Laden didn’t die how the government said he did. Matt says that after he and his team forced their way into the al Qaida leader’s compound. He says that he and the other members of SEAL team six saw Bin Laden poking his head out from a third-floor bedroom. The lead commando quickly shot 2 times, the SEALs then entered the bedroom, and saw that Laden had been hit. Matt and another SEAL finished him off with many shots to the chest.

The government told another version of how bin Laden had died. According to the government Laden had been shielded by his wives. The SEALs feared that Laden had been going for a weapon. When in the real version Laden never posed a threat, he didn’t even set up a defense.
